From USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Yarros comes a small town, single parent romance.

Nine years ago, Weston Madigan saved me. I came to Colorado penniless, heartbroken, and pregnant, searching for a fresh start. Weston gave me a job at his family’s resort, then left the next day and never returned, not even to visit.

Then I stumble in on Weston cooking breakfast shirtless—gloriously, inappropriately shirtless—in the shared kitchen of my duplex in employee housing. Given the shock on both our faces, he wasn’t expecting a roommate either, let alone two.

The growly pilot is only home to start his family’s new heli-skiing operation. I can handle being his temporary roommate, right? Chemistry and attraction aren’t impossible to ignore when you agree on ground rules. Besides, even with those gorgeous, brooding brown eyes, the guy is a walking thundercloud…until my daughter, Sutton, makes him laugh and he smiles at me. Then everything changes. Cue inconvenient heart flip.

This is only temporary.
I can’t fall for Weston.
Will. Not. Fall. For. Weston.
But rules go out the window when you’re a little too close.

5 ‘Try anything once’ Stars!

I am so in love with this series already! If you thought Reed Madigan was an incredible hero, you are so not ready for the next story in the series. Yes, I have a favorite Madigan and his name is Weston. As I said, second chances are my favorite to read (and we got that with A Little Too Late) but single parent romances are also on my top favorite troupes and this one is so freaking good. I melt all over when I have a swoony hero that falls in love with the mother and the child at the same time and Rebecca Yarros’ book is no exception to that.

So, A Little Too Close is the second installment in the Madigan Mountain series and it follows right after the end of the first book. Weston Madigan just got the job of his dreams when he receives a call from his brother Reed saying he needs him to come back home. Their relationship is very much affected by the past and it’s not easy for West to face his demons all over again. Enter Calliope “Callie” and Sutton Thorne, Weston’s new and unexpected roommates. Rules are set between this three, but you know what happens when rules are mixed with chemistry, right? Callie and Weston decide to break them…

I was a compass, and she was north. I was powerless to fight whatever this was between us.

Okay, it bears repeating. A Little Too Close is my favorite Madigan Mountain installment (for now, at least!). You all know I love books that focus on families and this one was right up my alley. Single parent, check. Forced proximity, check. Small town, check. Adorable kid, check. Burning chemistry, check. Feelings galore, cheeeeeeeck. So yes, this book has everything I love about my romance reads. It was beautiful to read how these characters open up, sharing experiences and vulnerabilities and how that grows into such a wonderful relationship. Also, my heart can’t take the love between this new family. I just loved all the scenes with Weston and Callie but the ones that also have Sutton, it just makes my heart happy.

This man. This difficult, stubborn, reckless man had become the epicenter of my dreams.

Therefore, I am rating A Little Too Close with 5 STARS because I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this novel: the theme, the troupes, the characters and the connections and interactions between them. I am so happy Weston, Callie and Sutton got their much-deserved happy ending. It was such a delight to read and to get to know more about all the Madigan Mountain crew. I am so ready for the next book (even though it will be the last one) and to read more about everyone (especially Crew!).
